Just perfect for me. I was aware of it's downsides such as short battery life( just buy a 2nd, they're cheap), no lens cover and very average picture quality. However for the price, I could overlook those issues. It is well built,easy to use. the SD format makes it simple to upload to your computer. The camera also came with Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 editing software that is great for the average Joe. I use it mainly to shoot ski footage, as the waterproof aspects of the camera allow me to use it in wet weather(just keep lens covered)I've had it for a month and so far so good.
