The Sanyo Xacti waterproof digital camcorder/camera is soooo adorable! I could not believe how SMALL it was when it arrived. My husband likes to film underwater when snorkeling. Previously we used our Sony Camcorder with a "waterproof housing" that was very bulky to travel with, plus a "dive light". Wow, with this baby we are traveling light! You don't need a dive light with the included video editing software, you can adjust the colors to remove the "blue" tint.
The camera is also fantastic for using in the rain, at the beach or the pool - you don't have to worry about it getting a little wet. The camera quality is about what you'd expect - not HD quality but fine for home movies, YouTube, etc. You can bring multiple SD cards with you for tons of recording time - this is much more convenient than the miniDV tapes. I can directly import photos and videos into iTunes and put them on my iPod touch, which is SO convenient. I can't say enough great things about the Sony Xacti camera.
