Most hikers have either point-and-shoot digital cameras (which have a setting for videos) or a digital camcorder. The point-and-shoot cameras, though, don't allow you to zoom in and out during your video. Well, this Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 allows you to do that - obviously because it is mostly meant for videos. But even most camcorders aren't waterproof. This one is! And for such a great price. I never even found out before I bought this camcorder that it records audio, takes pictures in several different settings, takes sequential pictures in some of those settings, and takes videos in (I think) every setting, as well as being able to take pictures while taking a video! This is something extremely helpful for hikers - most don't want to get their camera wet, which limits their routes. But now they don't have to be worried! Great camera, great price!
