This was an upgrade for me from the first model of this camera. One of the reasons I picked this camera is its water capability. I was always worrying about the regular point and shoot getting dirty or splashed and avoided use in inclement weather. Having a camera designed for water use to 1.5 meters gave me a comfort level to get a lot more use out of the camera. It takes decent still pictures for well-lit outdoors shots. This (prior model, now this) is the camera we take on our yearly camping/tubing trip to the clear, spring-fed Frio River. No worries about splashing and the kids had fun capturing underwater video with the fish in the river. This is also the camera I pulled out for some quick outdoors shots during Hurricane Donna. The software bundle included Adobe Premiere 4 for editing and your video. I purchased an 8GB SDHC memory card which allows a good bit of capture time.
