I bought the Sanyo Xacti because it was fairly compact, has decent specs, is water proof and had several good reviews from other users. I don't use it a whole lot but when I do I find that it is easy to use and captures pretty good video. The drawback I've found is when you playback the video through the camcorder itself , the audio is not real good. Fortuneately it is good when you play it back through a tv or a pc. Navigating the menu's is relatively easy once you get the hang of it. It would be nice if Sanyo supplied a carry case that attached to your belt. The waterproof feature is a plus. I don't plan to film under water....but if you happen to get caught in a torrential downpour you'll have peace of mind that it will weather the storm.Get more detail about Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Digital Camcorder and 8 MP Digital Camera (Blue).
